The vast size of the universe is proof that there is no god, or if there is a god, it has no interest in us, the tiniest of dust motes, over the tiniest stretch of time conceiveble. Also, there is or was intelligent life somewhere else in the universe, but there is no possible way we will ever know about them, or they about us. The distances and time scale are just too big. They may have gone extinct millions of years ago, millions of light years away, or they will become sentient in millions of years, right next door, but we will be long gone by then. So the ultimate answer is that the only thing that matters is here and now. Stop relying on the illusion of your god to justify and comfort yourself. Stand up on your own two lower apendages, monkey!
