Easily the most wise philosopher, Socrates. I also favor Plotinus. Aristotle is so-so. Havn't read much Plato, though enough to know few understand him who think they do.

How can you possibly know about Socrates without knowing Plato?

Ok... I've watched tv, and heard radio, and some audio tapes reading Plato's works, hence havn't read much Plato, but yes, I have read from a couple other sources as well... People get pissed at me when I'm not technically correct and the same when I am, so if there's no pleasing I'll just choose whichever method I like best at the time, metaphoric, simile, allegory, parable, or just nit picky technical, i.e. not read is not read; not don't know squat. My eyes have a hard time focusing sometimes, so I don't -read- very often any more.

For me, it is Albert Camus.  The absurdities he sees in everyday life are quite similar to how I view the world.
