Vibration

Usually at that speed, it could be either a tire out of balance, or ball joints. Since you have had an alignment, and no problem was found with the ball joints, I would suggest having all four tires rebalanced.

Wouldn't ball joints be noticible at slower speeds at well? I have a bad one in my rear right and I can hear it starting at about 20. Sounds like I have on knobby all terrain tires...

castor adjustment recommended
Submitted By: klah2u ( 311 days, 14 hours, 52 minutes ago )
It's common that when tie rods are replaced that the mechanic will have just the toe-in checked and adjusted. This is often done by counting the turns when screwing the adjustment up tighter. There are other settings that are checked in a full wheel alignment. You can not only check the toe-in, but also castor and camber. I suggest getting a 4 wheel alignment with tyre rotation and balance and descibe to the alignment mechanic how the car wanders left and right. This is likely a castor problem.

Tire pressure

Check your tire pressure and make sure it is the same as what's printed on the inside wall of the driver door. If the car drifts left, that tire has less pressure than the right.

Your tires are probably mis-wore
Submitted By: rene ( 311 days, 15 hours, 43 minutes ago )
Driving on a worn suspension changed the way your tires met the road so they wore accordingly. Now they are sitting on the road differently again and they are behaving differently. Unfortunately, if this is the case, your only real option is to replace the tires. :(

I had the same problem
Submitted By: ryanoc ( 311 days, 11 hours, 11 minutes ago )
I had my tires balanced several times before i took it to the chevy dealer. they said a normal balancing doesnt find everything. They did a road force balancing. It balances the tire with a load on it, not just spinning in the air. They found my front tires to be defective and gave me new ones. The problem was fixed, hope this helps

Something else to check

Check lug nuts also... odds are its not, and is prob a tire balance issue or something that has all ready been mentioned here. But if a lug nut was not either put back on or tightened correctly the same kind of thing can happen. Losing a tire wile driving due to a under tightened lug nut is no fun. So check the lug nuts asap as they could be loose and or missing one! Not safe... My family had an older truck that was serviced and the mechanic that did not tighten the lugs properly and we ended up losing a wheel because it lost a lug-nut. Since the rest weren%u2019t tightened all the way also, two more loosened and eventually the rim folded under the truck and ripped off 2 lugs in the process. Granted this happened when we loaned the truck to a neighbor that was not used to our truck, so I can%u2019t comment on how bad any vibrations where. (When the wheel fell off, it was in the neighbor%u2019s back yard wile moving firewood (heavy loads). So no major damage, only the lugs that broke had to be replaced.)
