Q: What is a good way to report DO NOT CALL offenders?
Submitted By: anon, 312 days, 12 hours, 34 minutes ago
I keep having a company calling me, and I want to report them to the DNC register. I have been on this DNC for over 2 years now and have no ties with the company that is calling.
Please try not to post duplicate answers... if you see an answer that you want to post, just add a vote to it and you can add a note as well. Thank You

Speak to a supervisor....

demand the operator give you to a supervisor...takes a few minutes for some reason to "find one" but once you do make hime give you every piece of information you can think of about his company and service. THEN when he is very scared wondering who he has gone and called, ask to be never called again. At this point they seem to be stuttering, confused and near tears and hang up never to call again! YAY!! F.U. Online Pharmacies!

Record Them
Submitted By: jkdrum ( 312 days, 2 hours, 3 minutes ago )
Record them from the telephone. When they call get them to say their company name, operator%u2019s name that is calling, and call back number. Then inform them that you are on the do not call list and you wish to be removed form their directory.
If they call a second time record it and get the same information and inform them of the last call they placed to you and that you asked not to be called again.
When they call a third time get all of the information again recorded. And inform that this is the third unwelcome call and that you have previously asked to be removed.
Hang Up then sue them. They will definitely get ripped in court.

With my phone company, you call 310-4NET, and you just say, yes, say "Report nuisance calls" and there you go!

I have had a similar issue, I just tell them that they have called a business number, make up a fake name like "Express packaging" or something, and they will usually stop.

DNC complaints

I read an article (I believe on MSNBC or CNN) about a guy who did this, sort of. He signed up on the DNC list, then went and filled out every raffle, mailing, etc.
As soon as the calls started (naturally), he would sue them and rake in the money - 5K-50K... they always settled. It's still cheaper than the fines to the govt. I thought it was a pretty cool idea.
In any case, follow what jkdrum said (record all the calls) then you can go here: www.donotcall.gov
or call 1-888-382-1222.
