Q: Which upcoming music phone will you buy, how much would you spend on it, and would you switch carriers to get it?

Personally I am interested in the Nokia N91 but the Samsung phones with flash memory are appealing too.

Keep them separate

My advice would be to keep your communication and your music separate. Reason being is that you can get a 1GB flash mp3 player for under $100 that runs for a week or more on 1 AAA battery. If it dies, slap in a new one (or just cycle between rechargeables like I do). Your phone has a semi-built in battery that will eventually have a pretty crappy lifespan. This way if you want to take your music to say exercise, you don't have to lug around your phone too. Phones should be used for communication as that's what they were designed to do.
