Q: What is the best DVR available in the UK?

I'm looking for a twin tuner DVR that makes good quality recordings and has optical audio outputs.

In my opinion the best DVR that you can buy right now anywhere, would be one that you made yourself.
There is plenty of free software for doing this, either via BitTorrent or through analog to digital cable cards, though mostly linux based,
The good side though is that you can pay for exactly what you need, and often times a pc/DVR is cheaper if you put it together yourself
