Q: Should Payola Send People To Jail?

Now that we all know Payola in the music industry is alive and well, should people/labels who utilize payola to influence the system go to jail?

Payola, while immoral and falsely representing a product as popular, does not directly take away others' freedoms. The punishment should be a fine, as it is an economic crime

I dont know about jail as it stands now. I DO think that the law should be tightened up a bit to eliminate the current loopholes that are used to make payola possible.
Then after that...lock em up. I despise payola.
