I thought the baby seat idea was pretty good.  I personally think there must be ways to make driving safer especially for children since they are so much smaller.

Agreed.. the baby seat wasn't bad. It could definitely be improved upon, but it wasn't bad.

I haven't actually seen the show, but wouldn't someone with a good idea just end up with a ton of people copying them, and possibly beating them to a patent?  If that were the case why would anyone take a seriously good invention on to that show?

You would have to think that they patent whatever they are bringing on the show BEFORE making their appearence.. then again, maybe not.. there are people who come on there thinking they invented the next big thing, but really it's already a common household item. Clearly some people did no research whatsoever.. but the more serious inventors probably took some measures to make sure no one bites their idea.
