Seems a bit high, I'm not an expert by any means but for such a small boat I don't think I would want to pay more then $1500, you can buy a larger sail boat that needs some fix ups for about 2k...

Note it does 45 mph on a weed whacker engine and is over 4 feet long! Digg this boat!

That Boat rocks!! I just looked up a 55" fiberglass, already made, (not custom at all) kit that lists for $1600.00. That custom job is probably with $3000.00. But it's hard to put a price on someone's time to build a project like that.
