I think Laissez-faire only works where there is a free flow of information which everybody has access to.

What are you basing that statement on? Laissez faire works when the government is willing to give up all control over the free market. The rest is up to the consumers to decide. Eg. State owned company failing? No handouts are given. Companies and products succeed and fail based on their own merits. Also the lack of regulation leads to cheaper entry costs to markets like telecommunications, which provides greater choice/cheaper services for consumers...it is win/win really.

free market values are the best. i do believe in some regulation of businesses but otherwise. a free market is there to compete and work hard for money as an incentive. in a free market what i want will be provided for as someone with the resources to make/supply it for me will try and make money from me.
