When I don't eat enough...

Low blood sugar, blood iron, and few other things can cause this, but each person should have a detailed enough exam/Q&A to find out why "they" have it methinks.

I do sometimes when I'm dehydrated. My doctor says that it's not actually hypotension, in my case, though I am on the low side. It can be a little frightening.

I get something similar, but it's not a total blackout. If I stand up too quickly, my vision gets very light and I see what looks like flashing/glared lights for about 3-6 seconds and then it goes away. I don't feel lightheaded or loose my balance. It's only in extreme opposites, like if I'm kneeling down close to the floor in a bookstore and then stand up quickly.
It happens to me very sparingly, maybe once a week or less at most. I've been checked while growing up and was told that some people such as myself have a problem with equilibrium if we move to quickly from a still position. It's often the same people who have motion sickness problems or get car sick (which I do). Nothing serious in my case.

I used to get this in my teenage years but not anymore, only when I got up quickly from the couch, bed or some other lazy position. Once it hit me so hard I blacked out completely and knocked over some furniture on the way down. I figured it had to do with having low blood pressure.
