Agree. A stupid question for you might be very useful to others, or even a "weird" question can make you discover new and valid answers you didn't though about before. Let's stay open minded and see what will happen.

There have been some pretty good questions. Everyone is just getting used to the system. Give it time and we'll see more good questions and some excellent answers.

I have only been using this site for about a week now, and I've seen at least 5 good questions. Good answers have maybe been fewer, but if you are judging this whole site by the questions under this topic, I think you are missing out. Also, any time you have a public forum for questions and answers on mostly unrestricted topics, you're likely to find "average" questions. Things people ask each other on the street so to speak. A lot of people like to talk. So this site (among others) gives them a chance to do so in front of the whole internet world. I am still waiting for a science section to open up here, so I feel your pain.

Digg.com needs one badly and so do all "social" websites. People are using this as a blog, message board and "off topic" chat when its to be used for seeking genuine advice on subjects.

Lots of moderators that are given a very clean cut set of rules to enforce goes hand in hand with adding rules.
