Q: How can you get back at a prof without getting in trouble

aka majorly embarass them and possibly get them fired because they shouldnt' be teaching in the first place. The only reason they are still there is they have tenure.
Please try not to post duplicate answers... if you see an answer that you want to post, just add a vote to it and you can add a note as well. Thank You

Professors are there for research and grant gaining ability. Teaching snotty self-absorbed students is something they are forced to do.

You're not going at this on the right angle.

Initally you should question your peers to see if anyone else feels the same way as you do. If you are the only one, it's not the prof but you. If you find a lot of people agree then you must go at it carefully. First you e-mail them with your concern. You must explain to them what you feel is wrong with their teaching method and then suggest possible improvement methods. You cannot bash them verbally because that will 1. Not get anywhere and 2. Take away the respect they have for you to begin with. Once a reply is give, you then have static proof of your conversation. If they agree to respect your methods then great. If they agree and don't do it, take the print out to the head of their department. Same goes if they scoff at your request. Take it to the head.
Embarassing them or getting them fired is just plain wrong man and won't get you anywhere.

Teachers/Profs do put up with a lot. Some are awesome and some just shouldn't be teaching. But cut them some slack.
