Hardware vs. Software

I don't think hardware is going to decide the console-war. If you really wanted to go that route you should be playing on a PC anyway. The game choices are what is really critical and so far IMHO it looks like Nintendo has done the best job of creating quality games.

For price and software philosphy Revolution
Submitted By: I wish I knew ( 309 days, 9 hours and 3 seconds ago )
I think the Revolution is the most interesting, but mostly it'd come down to price, and physically and metally fun if I got any console. I like the tech of all three. The cameras of Sony's and Microsofts could potentially have many of Revolution's controller advantages, so price and titles will be what I look at.

it's all we got so far...other than some early flaws it seems to be a decent gaming console..i'm not necessarily blown away by it though.

Its ALL about the GAMES

For preteens and puritan adults, Revolution is a no-brainer and generally ridiculous for everyone else.
For the 13 to 40 year old market the choice boils down to X360 and PS3. They'll both look awesome, they'll both have some awesome games.
My money's on X360 for the short term, PS3 for the long term. Bluray has the potential for allowing TONS of amazing graphics, and massively expansive virtual worlds.
I'm waiting for GTA4 on the PS3 :-D

Xbox 360

I love Xbox Live. Its polished and extremely resonable. Centrel hub for me and my friends to play on. Sony isn't knowen for good software applications. Sure the PS3 is going to be cool but it has a lot of useless stuff. Come on 7 controllers, whats the deal with that?
That and I'm still boycotting Sony. First they trick me into buying a psp then they had that whole rootkit fiasco.
Revo is my second choice, the possiblilties are overpowering. That and with how much I love the DS how could I go wrong.

xbox360
Submitted By: gorygirl ( 309 days, 12 hours, 9 minutes ago )
the xbox360 is 100% better than ps3 no doubt about it because 1.xbox can come with a built in harddrive 2.xbox has better graphics 3.xbox is ALOT cheaper according to how much it will cost to buy a ps3 which is over $700 and ps3 had to get rid of alot of their options because of price. and the ps3 just looks really stupid.

I think the Xbox 360 was well done by Microsoft. They released it early, created a lot of hype with the shortage and all, and the price is fairly reasonable compared to the PS3's estimated price. The Revolution is cool but I'm scared of falling in love with Nintendo again because the Gamecube was a cold, mean mistress to me.
