Q: What is the best performance heatsink?
Submitted By: Johnny1337h4x0r, 50 days, 15 hours, 11 minutes ago
I have a 939 socket motherboard. I would like a top performance air cooled heatsink w/ fan included in the package. I'm not too concerned with the noise, as long as it's quieter that a stock athlon 64 3200 heatsink fan. Also,it should be below $60 and water cooling is not an option. Last, but not least, my computer case sits virtically, and if you don't understand the relevance of this extremely important point to the question then please don't answer it.
Please try not to post duplicate answers... if you see an answer that you want to post, just add a vote to it and you can add a note as well. Thank You

Thermalright SI-120

so far the Thermalright SI-120 has worked very well for me. i have an AMD Opty 170 (dule core) and while idle i get around 26c-28c and wile gameing (granted thats not useing both cores at 100%) i get around 32c-34c as i recall... check www.newegg.com its $48. check it out, ppl have commented on it and pushed the heatstink harder then i have yet to. just my 2 cents and my litle bit of experance.
NOTE: these temps are with a Panfoilo Medium output fan that is controled by the mother board. it never cranks all the way up so it stays nice and quite even wile gameing.
