The new Macbook Pro and Mac Mini look crazy fast, and now they can run Windows XP! My question is what processor will the new Apple desktop systems use? Obviously they'll be faster than the components in the portable systems. Are there any PC systems currently using that chip? Any speculation on speed / benchmarks?

I've known about this site for a while, but this is my first question here. I feel embarassed that I'm a tech geek who doesn't have all his files backed up, except some code backed up on a small USB flash drive.
Can you guys offer advice for what kind of a hard drive I should look for? The only brands I've heard good things about are Seagate and Maxtor. What should I look for when buying one and what's just useless fluff? I'm thinking that a external USB 2.0 would be best.
Also, any site where I can get a good deal? Or should I just browse pricewatch, fatwallet, pricegrabber, and newegg? I'm looking to spend $100 or less. I'd like at least 40 GB so that I can use it for many years to come, but I don't think I'll need 100s of GB or anything like that; I'd rather spend the extra cash on speed and reliability.
If you guys use any free backup software (or cheap software that's really good), recommendations would be appreciated there.

I am using a 20" intel imac with the stock Apple keyboard. Every once in a while the keyboard will become unresponsive and in order to get it to work again I have to unplug it and plug it back in. It seems to do this randomly. Any ideas?

I bought a Sharp AM-900 printer/scanner/copier/fax multifunction unit for my parents last year, but they just got a new laptop and now can't find the driver disc. Windows doesn't have the printer in its built-in list and it can't find anything when it looks online. I've checked on Sharp's USA, Japan, and Europe sites and none have drivers for this model. I'd rather not pay for a replacement disc, so does anybody either 1) have the driver disc and can share it? 2) have the amazing surfing ability to find the drivers online?

I am using a ATI 9800 Pro (128mb ram). I want to upgrade to a Next-Gen Video Card. AGP ONLY. ATI or NVIDIA is fine. I have looked at 7800GS(AGP) but at $350. I might as well wait and upgrade system to PCI-Express. I am a big gammer. With so many Mid-Level cards out there I am torn. Any adivce?
