For instance, if you were involved in law enforcement, would you have to become a police officer first? Do you generally need a degree in Computer Science in order to find this type of work?

I am registered to a number of shopping websites and have my credit card details on their database saved for me so I don't have to keep re-entering them. Only myself has access to the accounts on these shopping sites and I always log out of them.
I was wondering if it is ok then to keep them on there? Is it safe from people trying to hack into the site? An expert on this would be greatly appeciated.
