Q: Automate program installs (windows)

Is there a somewhat painless method of automating multiple program installs in Win9x/NT? I've seen bundles like "hitman pro" that allow installing packs of programs with almost no user interaction, clicking Next, etc automaticly and I'm looking to do something similar. How are these done? I've used several macro suites, which seem to fit the bill, but must be installed themselves before they can be used, often negating any time that might be saved by automating the rest of the process. What I'm looking for is a way to pack lots of programs into a single exe and have them install one after another without any intervention. Anyone have a suggestion?

This website walks you through in creating a fully automated windows xp install with drivers/programs/tweaks etc. The link I posted is direct to their application installation. It has some examples and you may be able to dig some info out of this.
