Q: How can I copy multiple DVDs to just one Disc
Submitted By: rene, 45 days, 8 hours, 1 minute ago
I want to create a one DVD from 7 others that I have ripped. Image quality is not a big deal as it is just for entertaining the little one with a laptop style dvd player.
All I want on this compilation DVD is a menu consisting of a single background image with 7 menu selections. One for each movie.
Each movie will have all of its special features removed so the DVD will be very user firendly.
Any tips?

Might be hard but you'll just have to try it.

First you need to decide on using a DVD5 or DVD9 for this disc. 5 = 4.7GB, 9 = 8.5GB. Then you should divide that space by the number of movies to see how large each one can be. But you can't use up all the space as you need room for the menu's and such. You're then going to need a way of ripping and compressing the films. I suggest DVD Shrink. Next you'll need an authoring program so you can build the menu. Check out sourceforge for a multitude of programs

Finally you'll need burning software which I assume you have already. Make sure you make a DVD Video and drop all the files into the right folder VIDEO_TS. Make sure the disc is closed upon writing and it should all be good. Might want to get a few discs to make sure it works properly (and in your dvd player). Some are very finicky and only like certain brands of discs.
Good Luck!
