If you're asking for a good host for web 2.0 applications then check out Dreamhost. They provide PHP4 (ApacheMod or CGI) and PHP5 (CGI), Secure Shell for getting under the hood of your 2.0 app via a powerful unix prompt, which can be activated via control panel - many other hosts demand photo ID to activate SSH). You get Ruby On Rails, video streaming, unlimited domains and subdomains, unlimited mysql databases, and a huge 20 GB disk space and 1 TB (a terrabyte!) of bandwidth/mth. So it's a very robust package for 2.0 apps. You'll also like their control panel too - you can manage domains/databases/users/account with minimal fuss - I MUCH prefer it to cPanel for example. You get all that for just 9.95 USD/mth which makes it a steal IMHO. If you specify promo code ANSWER then you get the first year for just 29.40 USD (119.40 - 90 discount). They do more expensive packages too (gives you 90 USD off those too) but they're overkill for most people. So far I'm very impressed with Dreamhost.
