We're going on a trip this May... what are some good travel sites to get decent rates? I know the major ones but I'm looking for better ones that maybe not all people know about :)

I know this is a main one, but you probably aren't going to find a site that can get you cheaper rates. I have personally asked hotel managers and they always say hotwire is the cheapest.

After searching a couple times Expedia kept being the best price for continental US flights. Some people I know still get the best deal with a private travel agent.

I like orbitz for rental cars. The grid just works great for this purpose.
I like travelocity for airfare, especially for flexible dates. I usually setup alerts for any routes I'm interested in.
www.travelzoo.com has some great deals on packages and trip components.
I think the key is planning far enough out in advanced and flexibility.
