Of all places I've seen this old Mayan city made the biggest impression to me.
Good second place are the Alps, especialy the Dolomites in Northern Italy.

If you're into cooler weather, a trip preferably by boat, up to Alaska is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Or a trip to Maui is great. Up in the mountains and then to the smaller islands is worth the while.
