Any longer term problems with Ford Escape Hybrid?

I'm interested in getting one, but worry about longer term reliability. Have any owners had any problems with the hybrid drive or the transmission or the batteries? Since it is an SUV, how well does the hybrid system work in the cold up in the snow/mountains?
