Canon Sd450

The canon line of powershot elphs, 450 or the current 600, are great, the battery life is nice b/c of the digic II processor and the price tag of $299 to $350 isnt too bad, plus SD memory is getting dirt cheap. The panasonics seem to have good image stabilization but crappy flash. And if you aren't looking at something thin, look at the SI2 by canon, great zoom

I second that I've owned the Canon elph for years. Starting with the S200 now the SD200, using SD memory (cheap!). I bought it because it is small enough to fit in any pocket, rugged enough to take a beating. I've only upgraded to the SD200 because I wanted the newer features and higher resolution. Just make sure you buy an extra battery. They only take an hour to recharge and they only give you a few seconds warning befo...

I definitely agree with going Canon. My mother had the SD400 for years and its still going strong, and is simple enough for her to use. Sticking with Canon, I purchased the SD450 and it takes great pictures, has amazing battery life and looks cool as hell to boot.
