Q: Barre chords on guitar

I've been playing guitar for some time now, but I still can't quite manage an e-minor shape barre chord. The g string always buzzes. I've tried moving my hand around, readjusting my index finger, etc. but nothing seems to work. I'd appreciate any help.

I can play the guitar a bit and I do know barre chords but if you say e-minor, I couldn't tell you what that was. But my advice is, try rocking your index finger towards the body of the guitar so it's not just flat on the neck. Try to get as close to the fret as possible but not so close that it changes the intonation of the chord.
