Q: What's the name of this toy from the 80's?

There was a toy in the 80's with cars. There was a good side (white) and a bad side (black). Underneath the cars were a place to put caps (those things that pop), and when you crash the cars together they would pop.
There was also a "base" for each side that you could launch the cars from.
Been trying to figure this one out for years but no one seems to remember it ...

I had some from Hot Wheels that didn't have a cap but had a lever that would release when the car crashed and flip it over. Actually there might have been a space for a cap but I never used it. Wasn't allowed to have em :-P Sorry this doesn't really answer your question but I enjoyed reminiscing.
