I imagine, to raise one, it would cost as much as a human baby.  I just wonder about actual startup cost:  purchase, initial vet bill, and so on.  (Maybe there are startup costs I haven't considered.)

Many people say that the dog's mouth is really clean and that they should lick your wounds to heal faster.... but they also lick their bums. Do you think that's a health hazzard?

Where do you draw the line between livestock and pets?

My wife and I can't seem to agree on a dog to get. She doesn't like big dogs. And I don't like little yippy dogs. She wants a Yorkie and I want a Lab Retriever. I thought a Beagle was an alright compromise. What do you think we should get?

I used to have fish but they kept dying because I didn't clean the tank enough... one time I got the sucker fish that's supposed to eat algey but it started atacking other fish... is there a solution out there that cleans itself? Like how do they keep the very thin wall type aqariums clean that you can't even get into and clean yourself?

My girlfriend asked if I would watch her labrador for the summer. The only problem is that I live in a 700 sq. ft. apartment. I will have time to take him out for walks and to play. Is that too small for that kind of dog?

My old roomates bird kept dirting my place up...

I want to buy a Maine Coon cat - does anyone know of a good breeder around the Toronto area? I'm looking for a male, probably tabby in colour.

My gf thinks it would be cute to have a lobster pet and call him "Snappy" any one have a pet that's a lobster? :)
