As a former Southern Baptist who considers himself now educated, why won't the church educate Christians. The typical Christian can not tell you anything that happened after the death of Jesus and before the birth of Billy Graham. Why does the church not teach how the Bible came to be? For example, the vote deciding what to put in the bible, the reasons some things didn't make it in, why written works today can not be on the same level, etc.

First, a little background: I've recently entered into an arrangement that requires me to sacrifice a certain number of goats to the great and powerful Cthulhu. It's all well and good, I have no problem holding up my end of the deal, but there is one problem: I have no previous experience. I've only sacrificed one goat before, and that was to Pan, god of the forest (and he, being part goat, was none too pleased).

If anyone could tell me, or point me to someone who could tell me, how to properly sacrifice goats to the great Cthulhu I would really appreciate it.
