Q: What is the best reference for creating a css based website

I'm looking at redesigning a website. I hear a lot abou 760 px wide content. Aren't most people running their browser much wider than that nowdays? I'm aware of alistapart / mezzoblue / csszengarden Does anyone have any great sites/books/resources to suggest?

I know from my site logs that there are still a considerable number of people (20%) using screen sizes of 800x600. So, at least for my site, it is sensible to make it viewable at that size.
And for those people with larger screens, not everyone maximises their screens.
The best advice is to make your design flexible so that it will work across the gamut of screen sizes including widescreens. Also, don't forget about mobile devices.
