April 25th, 2006 A few new upgrades were released today, here they are:
- In each category you can now see the top users within that category. So the more active you are within a category your user name will show up in the top 5 list.
- In the user profile you can now see all the questions and answers that each user has contributed to.

New Tabbed System
April 11th, 2006 Another week has passed and some major changes needed to be done. With so many new questions we found that there needed to be an easier way to find new questions and questions that need answers. This meant a big overhaul of some of the core components. We hope everyone likes the new tab system. A lot of people have been mentioning that the site needs better “2.0” style graphics… and we agree, we’ve started making changes to the graphics as soon as we launched the site… there is quite a difference between where we started and where we are now. We’re not done and you’ll see more changes in the future. We would like to extend the invitation for any graphics designers who can spare some time to submit your design ideas of where we can go with the site. Send us an email at support@questionville.com We have also changed the advertising placement on the site… a lot of people have complained about the ads being too overwhelming… you’ll find them a lot less distractive now. Please understand that there is server costs associated with running a site and an amazing amount of time that goes into building the site, and adding new features. Advertising certainly helps with that. Here is the list of changes this week:
- New Tabbed Navigation System
- Hot Questions – Questions with most activity in them
- New Questions – Latest Questions Submitted
- Need Answers – Questions that need answers
- Graphic overhaul
- Advertising overhaul
- Added Questionville statistics to the top right of the banner
- Graphic Designer to help out with the graphics
- PHP Developer to help out with RSS feed development

About Questionville
April 3rd, 2006 Welcome to QuestionVille, we're proud to bring to you the next generation of a social Question and Answers website.QuestionVille was inspired by the popular website Digg.com however it has been taken to the next level.
How it works
Members of QuestionVille can submit questions. When a question is submitted other members can then submit answers to that question. As new answers are submitted members can pick the best ones. As each answer gains more picks it gets moved to the top of the list, and the #1 Answer naturally bubbles to the top. If someone has already submitted an answer but you would like to recommend a slightly different approach or point something out you can add notes to that specific answer.
User Score As users contribute or ask questions they’re rewarded points, your points are displayed next to your nickname or in the users list. The point reward program works like this:
- Each note submitted = 1 point
- Each question submitted = 2 points
- Each answer submitted = 4 points
- Answer in Top 3 = 6 points;
- When you answer stays within the top 3 picked answers for a question you then receive 6 points for that answer
We need your input We're looking for suggestions for Questionville, you can pick or add the features you want to see come to life here. We're also looking to find if you want any new categories added that we might have missed. You can do this here. Thank you and we hope you enjoy QuestionVille.
